Codes and regulations

Each page lists the relevant technical standards (ASME, ISO, IEC, ISA, ASHRAE) and U.S. regulations. Always consult the current edition from the issuing body.

Safety

Boilers and pressure vessels are governed by the ASME BPVC and state jurisdictional rules; electrical work by NFPA 70/70E; process safety by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119. No tool on this site replaces inspections, relief devices or procedures those rules require.
