Terms of Use

Acceptance

By using Indus Metrics you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Nature of the tools

The calculators produce estimates and pre-sizing results from user-entered data and published engineering methods. They are support and learning tools. They are not engineering design, calculations, opinions or reports, and they do not replace the work of a licensed Professional Engineer where state law requires one.

User responsibility

You are responsible for the data you enter, for interpreting the results and for the decisions you make. Before buying, building, operating or modifying equipment, verify results with a qualified engineer, the manufacturer and the applicable codes and regulations (ASME, NFPA, OSHA and local codes).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Indus Metrics is not liable for losses, damages, lost profits or accidents arising from use of the tools or reliance on the results. The calculations are provided “as is”, without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.

Intellectual property

Text, code and layout belong to Indus Metrics. Cited standards belong to their issuing bodies; the site only references them and does not reproduce their content.

Changes

These terms may change at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
