Measurement system analysis: gage R&R by ANOVA and Xbar/R (% study variation, % tolerance, ndc), type 1 gage study (Cg and Cgk), gage linearity and bias, and attribute agreement analysis (Fleiss and Cohen kappa, appraiser effectiveness); shortcuts to instrument calibration checks and the calibration curve.
Shows how much of the measurement variation comes from the gage itself and from people, rather than from the parts. Paste a gage R&R study (part, operator, trial, measurement) to get repeatability, reproducibility, %GRR of study variation, tolerance (two- or one-sided) and process, ndc, ANOVA with and without interaction and the six gage R&R report charts.
EV, AV, %GRR, ndcChecks whether a measuring gage is good enough for the part tolerance, using parts of known value. Type 1 gage study (one reference part measured many times: Cg, Cgk, bias with t-test, run chart and histogram) and gage linearity and bias study (bias vs reference regression with 95% CI, %linearity and bias by reference), with a report card and a one-page report.
Cg, Cgk, biasMeasures how reliable visual or go/no-go inspection is: several inspectors judge the same samples, more than once and blind, and the page shows whether each repeats their own decision, whether they agree with each other and whether they match the correct answer. Paste visual or go/no-go inspection ratings (sample, appraiser, response, standard) to see agreement within each appraiser, between appraisers and against the standard, with exact CI, Fleiss and Cohen kappa, Kendall coefficients for ordinal scales, charts and a report card.
kappa, % agreementEnter standard and instrument readings (as found and as left) to get the error at each point, hysteresis, non-linearity, suggested zero and span adjustment, standard adequacy (TUR) and final status; scale mode with shift, repeatability and weighing tests per NIST Handbook 44 or OIML R 76. Prints a check record.
As found/left, TUR, scalesPaste concentration × signal pairs from Excel to get the linear regression (with or without intercept), R², residuals, Mandel linearity test, LOD and LOQ and unknown sample concentrations with confidence intervals, following ISO 8466-1, Eurachem and ICH Q2.
